this pride month, keep the disabled queer people in mind who can't celebrate pride the 'regular way' aka by going to parades and lots of events. keep the homebound, bedbound, and other disabled queers who can't go in mind. those people who see everyone else party and are unable to attend. text them, wish them a happy pride, visit them and celebrate in a way that works for them. it's already hard not to be able to go to all of these events, it's even harder to be left behind because of it.

hero/villain showdown but one of them has a spontaneous medical emergency and the battle gets put on hold while their archnemesis drives them to Urgent Care

#it should be like. a hernia. or diverticulitis #something intestinal for maximum Awkward Scenario #and the entire car ride alternates between awkward silence and the driver lecturing their nemesis on the importance of regular check-ups #this is funnier if the hero is the one having the hernia tbh. but both options are Very Good #want to emphasize that it is a 'medical emergency ' that is clearly not extreme enough for the emergency room #and the sidekick/henchperson gets stuck in traffic so the hero/villain stays for moral support #they spend 8 hours in the waiting room playing Uno (it devolves into a screaming match)#at the end of the ordeal one of them vows to burn the hospital to the ground with their laser eye powers #and it's Not The One You Think #oh oh oh! Despite one of my previous works (the Simon waking up for the first time comic), I'm not in the "Simon was aggressive in the beginning" team.

Simon is just baby.

My hc for what happened is that his mental state/consciousness was "frozen" in the last moment of the movie (before he died, I mean), and since he was attacking Ellie in the end, when he woke up the first time it was like his mind and all the adrenaline was still stuck in that moment, so he attacked Grace out of sheer confusion and desperation. He gets sedated and only when he wakes up the second time is that his mind is back in the actual present and his real self is shown.

I have no hc for what was the reason for the SM-13 to shown up on Grace's universe (found later by Eridians first), but I like the idea of Simon being in some kind of dormant state inside of it (not like Grace's coma state, literally time had stopped somewhat for him inside all that blood), with the SM-13 serving as a symbolic womb and keeping him stable until Grace teared the front of the submarine apart. Now Simon is "born", but unlike a regular birth, now he is just dying from all his injuries because his body is now back to function on its own.

i think one reason i really enjoy throwing out reid's thing with giving shane limited telepathy so that he automatically always understands why ilya is being a dick when he is, and therefore never holds it against him or lets it affect him, is that like. when you let shane be confused and hurt about ilya's actions, but he still stays, it's such a tasty contrast to ilya's idealized, rosy-hued (and green-tinted) view of him as someone with such a perfect life and perfect family and no real problems.

like give me a shane who responds to months of ghosting + vegas 2014 by going okay. i understand. no strings attached, it's just sex, i will not make any emotional bids because he doesn't actually like me. he doesn't want to be my friend and he doesn't want to hang out or chat or anything. it's just sex. he doesn't like me. but it's good sex.
