2. Squeamishness aside, it's actually very interesting - I came across this reading about autoimmunity and the brain, and a research article was talking about a frequency of which patients with autoimmunity affecting the brain were found to have ovarian teratomas

This could make sense- the immune system learns to fight/clear out stuff in the wrong places (and such stuff can rupture 🤢), so potentially it could learn from these to need to fight the same thing in the right place too.

It shows how the standards of entertainment have changed that a show rated tv-14 is way bloodier and gorier than a 15-year-old movie rated R.

And I used to think the movie was sooo violent and nasty.

Eta: also it boggles my mind that they can show THAT MUCH blood and gore, but they can’t say “fuck.”

Yes, I am scarred by the f-word, but seeing a girl chainsaw someone in half is no big deal.
