I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but I haven’t drawn nearly enough Danganronpa. And I haven’t drawn nearly enough Kingdom Hearts.. so I decided to kill two birds with one stone-!

I remember joking about Sora being Makoto Naegi and Roxas being Hajime Hinata a LONG time ago to my friend, but I never actually drew it...

I have never seen such a passioned hate rant/review towards a fanfic like this. I feel like that anon is one of those who tweets to Ishida ranting about what happened, screaming “HDU RUIN THIS”. Some people just need to chill. Especially over fiction.

Chap 149 KH

So here is my opinion on this last chapter of Kamisama Hajimemashita.

First of all, I feel sad that it’s over now. Although there is going to be one last bonus chapter epilogue, the 4th episode of the Past Arc OAD and one last OAD episode of the Wedding part, Kamisama Kiss has come to an end 🙁 

And although we have an ending now, I cannot help but feel it was rushed. Like too much Julietta Suzuki wanted to happen all stuffed into 4 chapters. Like she was ready for something new and just wanted it finished. 

I have no doubt she loved the series to the end, but I wish she had not rushed to it. Reading it, it feels there is much more she wanted to tell, but skipped. 

And then there is the ending Akura-ou got. Even though you probably have read it all throughout the fandom by now, because of the shock it caused, I’m still going to put my opinion under a read more because of major spoilers

This is definitely not the ending I wanted for the red haired demon as well, even though I had this gut feeling there was this possibility that this might happen. 

We know that when he chose to release Nanami’s life energy the human body he used wasn’t able to live on anymore. And his soul was left out in the dark again. (chapter 140)

Then Kirihito’s mother volunteerd that they use her body so new life could begin again and his soul could have a corpal body again. Human. But now for real.

Although he had taken her son’s body and used it, by doing that he allowed her to have more time to spend with her son. In gratitude she wanted for him to have a second chance. 

(this chapter really melted my heart!)

And then… in the end… this happened:

At first we see human Tomoe calling someone on the phone and in the darkness we see that familiar grin. So we know who he's calling, right? 😏

And then…

Yeah… I know…

Instead of horns, the demon got two pony tails with ribbons and a flower dress…

After overcoming the initial shock I tried to analyse the situation. (To soothe my own mind most of all!!)

All those reasons could be plausible. And who knows, maybe one of them is the actual reason for this sudden turn of events. 

I don’t find this change funny either, really. However, that being said, the gods’ punishment idea is kind of funny as a reason. And although it still doesn’t make it right, and it feels SO wrong, there is nothing like a bit of humor to lighten the mood [X] @my-head-cinema I hope you are going to aid me in this ^^

So now what?

It appears Akura-ou still knows Tomoe by the look at the phone scene, so there is a good chance he is still ‘him’ only now trapped in a female human body? A child.

Is Julietta seriously making him a possible love interest for maybe a son that Nanami and Tomoe have? 😱 😕 

The gender of Nanami and Tomoe’s child at the end remains unknown. Will it be revealed in the epilogue bonus chapter? Maybe…

I hope the translation that we will be bound to see soon will shed some light on the matter and hopefully make it more transparant. Because it feels like my mind just viewed something I wasn’t supposed to see. Like a rating high above my age. 

And as an adult and a writer of lemons, that says a lot…

So, I hope there will be more clearified in the English translation. I will await this anxiously and with excitement, because I need answers. And otherwise I hope there will be more info in the bonus chapter.

@my-head-cinema​, you’re right, I cannot picture a female Akura-ou with all his knowledge about his past life pairing up with a guy, even if it is Nanami and Tomoe’s son.

Let’s wait for that bonus chapter to appear. 

And who knows, maybe Julietta will post a reply to the shocked fandom on her twitter account.
