Dick Grayson being one of the most dangerous people alive and choosing to be kind is a lot more powerful than Dick being "weak" because he's kind or whatever

this is going to sound a lot like what peter parker stans say to defend spidey not killing, but i digress

it is easy to kill. with the kind of skill set that the bats have, it is so easy to kill. and i’m not even talking about their fighting skills, though those are near-unparalleled. once you learn how to save a life, you also learn exactly how to end one.

and dick,,,,knows that all too well. he was the first student bruce had, and so naturally he was the one bruce pushed the hardest. in addition to that, he’s trained with immeasurable teachers, some good, some bad, some somewhere in the middle. he can easily kill any of his rogues, or batman’s rogues, or some of his friends’ villains.

but he chooses not to. he chooses to listen to his moral compass instead. now has he messed up sometimes? has he slipped and fallen? has he disappointed himself? yes, of course he has. he wouldn’t be human if he hadn’t.

but he always strives to be better, to save a life instead of taking a life. most of us could never. and that is in no way a weakness. that is someone’s greatest strength.
