Hi, I was wondering what was going on with IMU and if they have a set date to debut yet? It's been like 3 years.. I tried looking up information but I couldn't find anything solid or semi recent other than your blog. Thanks for answering!

Hi! This is a wonderful question, thank you, because I’ve been wanting to make a wrap-up post of sorts but haven’t known how to move forward!

Short answer: I’m pretty sure they’ve gone their separate ways, and I.M.U will not be debuting in the future. 

Longer answer: (with back history and goodies at the end!)

Jay K Ent seemed to have every intention of giving I.M.U a fresh start when they first announced them, (beginning of April, 2012) but around that summer is the last we ever heard anything from any of their official accounts, aside from the boys tweeting here and there. 

In October 2012, Jay K commandeered Juntaek for their new rock band boy group, SCOOP, but by the beginning of 2013, all the boys except Juntaek deleted their twitters, never to be heard from again as well. (;-;)

Somewhere in the mix of all this, Jay K Ent’s official website was taken down (there is an unrelated site at its same address currently), so this basically leads me to believe that Jay K Ent no longer even exists? As follows, nor do I.M.U :( It’s frustrating because they never made any official statements about any of the above, but to me, it seems like the most logical conclusion.

Good news is, Jaehoon is doing things and instagramming about it!^^ He mentioned about his account in a tweet last December, so if you’re all interested, I’d totally recommend following him! He posts cute selcas, videos of his little puppy U•x•U and when we’re lucky, a picture of him with his pretty ulzzang girlfriend ;A; It looks like he is composing and rapping in his free time as well, so maybe he’ll start putting out some songs of his own!! We can hope *(*´∀｀*)☆

Also quick poll(?): would you guys like to still see uploaded information about the boys’ individual activities here, i.e. Jaehoon’s instagram pics and videos, and any news or pictures from the other boys if we hear from them in the future? I’d be happy to, but since it wouldn’t be I.M.U news anymore in my eyes, then that just means I’ll change the focus of the blog a little bit. Message me a quick yes or no if you have a preference? Thanks so much!!^^

New Home for Juntaek!

Juntaek is now the lead singer for I.M.U's labelmate group SCOOP, which has been in the process of formation and training over the last couple of months.  Although Jay K. Entertainment hasn't made a statement about his move to I.M.U fans as of yet, they are actively releasing information about SCOOP now, so we can only hope for more clarification soon!

Until then, if you want to follow Juntaek's future activities, go ahead and join SCOOP's fancafe, follow the band on Twitter, (and Juntaek's account too), and you can also follow fuckyeahscoop on tumblr which I'll try to keep as up-to-date as possible as well!
