This is an interesting concept of making objects 'smart' by combining tangible interfaces with GUIs using AR image recognition.

But do we really NEED this? Is this the best way to utilize AR? While they stress on the importance of the haptic feedback and tangible interactions, this product actually requires a screen to be held up in order to access the 'interactive features' that GUIs bring....

Looks like its going to be a while before we see AR technology fizzle away or used in a revolutionary way.

This was our Arduino project. We were given an Arduino, compass component,a speaker and led lights.

Don't Confuse Engagement with User Experience

Hundreds of millions of dollars could ride on the difference.

Designing a great device is not the same as designing a great user experience.

Generating a positioning statement, brand identity and website flow chart for SHIFT design camp.

Using lo-fi paper sketches and the iPhone App "Prototype On Paper" We were able to quickly sketch out an interface and make a very quick idea testable.
