A Drop In the Ocean
Falling in love is like going to the beach. You can skirt around on the sand and dance around the tide, too scared to get your feet wet. Or you can have the courage to venture in, and brave the cold and unpredictable.
Her? Well she's the ocean. Vast and beautiful.
She's the ocean. Torrents of emotion and depth you'd never thought existed.
She's the ocean. Her tide pushes you away, too afraid that if you get pulled in, you won't realise how far gone you are until you're in too deep. And once the fear sinks in, you begin to fight her. You push and shove, and hurt her just trying to reach the surface, for a breath of air. And so she waits alone. All see her beauty, but none are game enough to love her. They're comfortable testing the shallows, but never really get deep enough to know her.
She's the ocean. Now I just wish I could swim.
