Katherine & Leda | Another Doppelganger....
Mystic Falls, Virginia, it was one of those quaint little towns, filled with folk desperate to leave town, yet unable to do so due to any number of reasons far beyond their control. It was exactly the kind of place Leda usually worked in. He would talk to a few people, offer them exactly what they wanted and cast a spell to make it happen, for a price, of course. One favour, any favour that he could call up at any time. Sometimes, he would even teach people magic, if he liked them enough, and watch the chaos and destruction that inevitably unfolded.
However, Leda would have to put all of that out of mind, for now. He had a 'mission', of sorts, he had to find a vampire called Damon Salvatore. Leda had been told he and Damon bore a certain resemblance, they looked alike, and that if he ripped out the vampire's heart with his bare hand at midnight on the full moon, he would break one of the seals to set Lucifer free from the pit. Leda hardly saw the point of the melodramatic conditions needed, but he would have to grin and bear it, it was the apocalypse after all. He had been waiting for these times almost all of his life, so he was not about to fail, not if he could help it.
Of course, there were many other seals Leda could break, if he decided against this one; however, this one seemed like the easiest. As the son of an archangel, killing a near-200-year-old vampire should be a cake walk, to put it mildly. Sure, it'd be easier if the could just vaporise this kid on the spot, but thanks to the whole midnight and full moon thing, he would have to plan this, and that meant he would have to get a little bit of information on Damon.
He decided one of the best places to go would have to be the local bar, the Mystic Grill. Hopefully, he could find someone there with information on this Damon guy who was willing to share, or at least weak enough to be... coerced... into sharing. The bar was nice enough, he noted. It had a warm, almost cosy atmosphere about it, which Leda kind of liked. It was rather busy, fro such a small-town bar at such an early hour of the night, but he would certainly not complain.
He noticed, to his annoyance, all of the bar stools had been taken up. He sighed and approached a skinny brunette man, who seemed to be on his own. “Hi”, Leda said, by way of attracting his attention, and the man turned around to look at him, “Err... hi?” the man said, his eyebrow slightly raised, he was clearly confused. So fast one could barely be sure he'd done it, Leda ran his index finger in front of the man's eyes, seemingly putting him into a slight daze, “Hey, you look like you've had enough...” Leda said, pretending to be concerned, “... I know it's early, but you should really be getting home...” the man looked very confused, he glanced down at his drink, then back up and nodded, “Yeah... yeah...” he nodded, “you're right, I...” he trailed off, before leaving the bar as requested, still looking quite out of it.
Leda sat down on the newly vacant seat, and signalled a bartender for a drink. The bartender, whose name tag proclaimed him to be 'Benny', smiled at him, as if he were somewhat of an acquaintance, or, at least, a regular, “I presume you'll want your usual?” Benny asked, Leda raised his eyebrow slightly, “My usual?” he asked, the bartender looked at him strangely for a second, “double of bourbon...?” he said, Leda sniggered, “Are you kidding me?” he raised his eyebrow, but shook his head, “Yeah, no... a double of the best Scotch you have, preferably single malt but I’m not fussed.” he smiled and shook his head again as the man left to get his drink, “... can't stand American whiskey.”
