Baseera Khan: I Am an Archive is presented as part of the UOVO Prize for an emerging Brooklyn artist. Baseera Khan uses their own body as an archive, often employing a variety of multimedia collage techniques to visualize the lived experiences of people at the intersections of Muslim and American identities, both today and throughout history.

Baseera Khan: I Am an Archive is now open through July 10, 2022! Presented as part of the UOVO Prize for an emerging Brooklyn artist, this exhibition explores themes around Muslim American identities, global economies of goods and materials, and the body as the site of connected histories. Opening in one month—Baseera Khan: I Am an Archive is the artist’s first solo museum exhibition, presented as part of the annual UOVO Prize for an emerging⁠ Brooklyn-based artist. The exhibition will debut eleven new artworks, in conversation with key works made since 2017, that explore Khan’s body as a site of accumulated experiences, histories, and traumas, and a tool for self-protection and liberation.⁠

I Am an Archive opens October 1 but in the meantime, you can see Khan's 50 x 50-foot art installation on the façade of UOVO's Brooklyn facility in Bushwick.⁠
