Oh god. I’m one of the old people on tumblr. I’m going to be a junior in college next year. When the h*** did that happen.
Naps are fantastic. sliding into those cool sheets. cuddling up all nice and cozy. smelling that comforting smell of all of your nice smelling products that you usually use before bed. that indulgent feeling you get from blowing off life. It's just... Ugh. Naps are so great.
I'm super lazy and don't take off my makeup before I shower so I get out looking like I just finished up a class on how to contour to look like you haven't slept in three days and have been dabbling in crack cocaine.
i've been doing this experiment on Facebook. I’ve been alternating my profile pictures of me with curly hair and be with straight hair. They have all been good pictures in which I felt pretty and I had similar makeup in all of them. The thing is, the straightened hair pictures consistently got 10+ more likes than the curly hair pictures. The straightened hair pictures got comments like “you look so grown up” and “you look so pretty in this picture.” all my life, my natural look (curly hair and glasses) has been the ‘before’ picture. If I don’t straighten my hair, I’m considered less appealing. This has always given me confidence issues. It’s a subconscious thing for most people, because they’ve been taught what is acceptable and what is not their whole lives. I just wanted to get this off my chest. I am beautiful regardless of my hair, makeup, clothes, and glasses. And I am certainly not anybodys fucking ‘before’ picture.
One of my favorite things about my baking class is that my team names literally all of our products. So it's not, "Hey can someone check on the rolls?" it's, "Someone check on sebastian." And I think that's beautiful.
Social media? More like which blue button should I push.
Me: hey. Can I ask you a question?
Dumb ass: haha. You just did. ;)
Me: ... Nvm.
