Responsibilities (not even sure I spelled it right)
One thing I don't get around people around me is their understanding of one's abilities and responsibilities.
For instance, last week, I had a massive cold and my, oh so genial, parents decided it would be nice of me to bake a cake while trying to get my fever to break (it was 39.9°C for Pete's sake) and an awful headache. Me bieng the good daughter I am, made the freaking cake better than my mom did the previous time (and I can't even cook, let alone bake!). Today, however, a lightbulb in my room burned out and I went to ask my dad where he put the bulbs so that I can change it and he tells me that it's not safe for me to change it myself!
So, according to their logic, it is okay to eat something that a sick person made and probably got germs and viruses all over but it's not okay to let your eighteen year old daughter change a lught bulb by her own?!?!?!?
Good God! I just realized that made no sense at all! But it's Monday, so I guess it can be forgiven. :)
