Oh I know, its one of my favorite scenes, but also one of the most heartbreaking. ; A ; I took some lyrics from I Dreamed a Dream and made a gifset out of that scene.
..............no :'C

NoOOPE. No. N o. nO. (And I realize movie Pitch may not hold the same canon as book Pitch, but thats a whole new story. But they do speak of him yearning for a family so they definitely incorporated some elements of book Pitch.)
aahahahahaha //sobs
that whole "to long for a family" line kills me. absolutely kills me. makes me want to curl up on the floor and drown in my own tears.
actually that whole scene is like that

HHHhhhh, seriously though! The Fearlings are the ones who need to be punished because honestly theyre the true culprits here. Theyre the ones who did all those things using Koz like a puppet.
A friend and I were talking and he decided to give me the delightful scenario where Koz is trapped in his own mind forced to watch everything that Pitch does and
I stg if we hadn't been having that conversation on fb chat I would have punched him

Oh yeah, I mean I love Pitch to pieces, even if he did do abhorrent things. I understand hes the villain, but with Pitch there is more than meets the eye and I just udshyfdsb I want the others to know of Koz. ; A ;
It's like I know he can't be redeemed until he wants to be redeemed but in order to want to be redeemed he has to fight off the fearlings enough in order to be able to remember the good things about humanity and feeling and that it's not weakness and I just sdkfjkjfieuru //sobs
Kozzzzzzz babyyyy D':

Oh I know, I think about all the horrid things Pitch has done and am like wow you really are terrible. But its like Pitch is literally possessed, the Fearlings are parasitic and Kozmotis is the host. As much as I love Pitch I want Koz back too.
LIKE I want Koz's humanity and goodness but I love certain aspects of Pitch and probably identify with them to a frightening degree and UGH I HAVE SO MUCH INVESTED IN MY HOPE THAT PITCH WILL WANT TO BE REDEEMED

I did too, but its like despite it being a fantasy series it deals with a lot of real life situations such as death, hate crimes, corruption of the innocent and even goes as far as war and genocide.
yeah it's a lot to swallow that my fave character has canonically committed genocide
but I think it's what really makes the series as high quality as it is, and I like to think that it means it will last

Ikr. Like the target audience for GoC is 7-11 and Im like uhhh no. Kids that young are not ready for this kind of heartbreak. /chokesob
I mean I read some kinda dark books as a kid but
I'm p sure this tops most of them
and none of them ever made me cry the way GoC has
