23. King Monkey keeps his Miraculous

Okay so. dkjsafjk. Before Ephemeral came out my favorite headcanon was that Marinette never learned who King Monkey was. It was Master Fu who gave him the Miraculous and who's to say he told her before he lost his memory? That's not really related.

The AU itself is that because no one told Kim he had to give back the Miraculous, he just. Keeps it. It's not against any rules! He's not doing it maliciously! At first he doesn't even try to hide his identity, he just starts a fitness YouTube channel as King Monkey and it immediately goes viral. Ladybug and Chat try to get his Miraculous back from him but he refuses so he just sort of keeps it. A semi-benevolent himbo with a superpowered fitness YouTube channel.

(The AU would also probably be combined with a very similar "Queen Bee keeps her Miraculous after Style Queen" AU, and would probably be Chlokim bc. Chlokim is good actually <33)

Varian for your character ask?

Sexuality Headcanon: Is “not straight” a valid answer lol  Gender Headcanon: I haven’t really thought about it, to be honest- A ship I have with said character:  I actually don’t ship him with anyone? Not that I dislike Varian/Hugo I just am not as familiar with that story and at the end of the series I’m more excited to see him grow and thrive surrounded by people who care about him A BROTP I have with said character: TEAM AWESOME! Obviously. A NOTP I have with said character: Don’t want to name specific names but basically anything that ships him with an adult in the series A random headcanon: Oooh I REALLY like the idea of him getting to know Hector and Adira and Edmund post-series, and them having “family” bonding time (with Eugene, of course). General Opinion over said character: I thought he was great! Loved seeing what the dorky nerd child had up his sleeve next, really felt for him during his “corruption” arc and I could see where he was coming from and how a fourteen year old who’d lost his father and with that level of ingenuity might get scarily tunnel vision about it all, and I could also see how he would feel bad once the whole kingdom was at risk of getting destroyed and appreciated seeing him getting the support he deserved from his friends over the course of s3, along with coming to terms with his past. I totally understand why he tried to talk Cassandra out of it AND why he’d want to make a defensive weapon after the events of that day, and by the end of the series I just felt really happy to see him have a place doing what he loves with the people he loves too!  Thanks for the ask! Feel free to send more characters my way!

Why feast specifically? It's been awhile since I've seen the episode haha.

That's the only episode I can think of where Adrien jumps into the heroics 1) while not transformed and 2) when he wouldn't have his contacts in already. Sandboy is almost there (and it makes Sock Plagg funnier imo bc he really did not know until he grabbed that sock) but in Feast he's fully chasing after a villain he can't even see.
