Diabetes Overload
I have been out of the hospital for two weeks today and all I have been doing is my diabetes management. I took a leave of absence from work to focus on my health and really focus on my diabetes. Why is this so hard…
I hate thinking about my diabetes but here we are. I am forcing myself to think about it. Test my blood sugar every couple of hours and even more when my body decides that I am hungry.. Which is all the time since I have no job to keep me busy during the day.
Someone give me a new hobby to attempt please!
I need to add something into my day, but not something too stressful. I need to build things into my day so I can begin dealing with my diabetes in real life situations. I will not be able to just focus on my health forever, unfortunately. I need to build myself up to my old life again, but I am not good at being idle. Help.
I had a particularly frustrating experience at the Endo last week which has brought be back to the basics. Writing down every blood sugar, everything that enters my body, and why I think my blood sugars did what they did. I am checking my basal rates and getting this thing under control. It is a lot of work but this is the kind of stuff we have to do. So here we go...
