I don’t have time to get into it but “they should know better” “they’re [age] they must have known better” is sooooooo subjective. you don’t know that! you don’t know their life experience or development! they very well might not have. I get that we all want to persecute wrong-doing but there are a lot of reasons why people may make mistakes that are unusual for their age that isn’t “theyre evil/an abuser/etc”. this doesn’t excuse their actions but can we have some sympathy for once and not make sweeping assumptions about people’s lives and mental processes
