So game 1 didn’t go as planned, but Kris Bryant’s welcome to the MLB moment only had to wait an extra day. After going 0-4 with 3 K’s Friday, Bryant had a pair of hits in 3 at-bats and added 3 walks in the Cubs 7-6 win over San Diego. 

Bryant became the 18th player since 1914 to reach base 5 times in one of his first two career games and the first since Josmil Pinto of the Twins in 2013. Other active players to manage it are Ian Desmond in 2009 and Jay Bruce in his debut in 2008.
