In a country that has radio that was that awesome! In the liner notes, Will Sergeant basically says that John supported this wonderful band from the earliest days and if he didn’t - there would not be a Bunnymen . As he John would introduce as “ The Might Echo & The Bunnymen- this record proves jut how mighty they were! With different arrangements and lyrics this made this band made their craft of songwriting better! My best story on meeting John at The BBC, he looked at his watch and then pronounced “ It’s noon! The pubs are open, inside The BBC there are 3 pubs , that he showed me and then decided to go to an outside Pub with 2 German journalists, we were having a couple of pints and in deep conversation, when I mentioned we “86ed” a band from a bill, Both John and The Germans stopped my conversation and asked what 86ed meant, I explained it was to “get rid of something “ John turns to me with a smirk and says “ I’m using it! “ I will 86ed The Sisters of Mercy tonight! “ Miss John and all The Bunnymen- however we do have this masterpiece of music Enjoy!
