If asked, Leo Fitz wouldn’t say that being an exchange student in Beacon Hills singled him out necessarily, but it did earn him some interesting, and truly horrendous, nicknames. He wasn’t special for being picked on. Not in the slightest, because at this school, there was a kind of hierarchy. And anyone who was not in this small group of “leaders” as one might call them, was subject to moderate ridicule. By the end of a long day, when all he had was one class left and already was forced to drop conversations with three other students because they couldn’t understand him, he had really hoped to slide under the radar of such bullies.

Alas, no such luck. And once we finally reached Health, the most tedious, mind-numbing class, he climbed into his seat, laid his head on the table, and pretended to be asleep. Maybe that way, no one would bother him.

Stiles dropped his hoodie string that he had been fiddling with, obviously sensing that the joke (if it was meant to be and seriously how could that not be a joke) wasn’t very funny. He was utterly baffled about what had happened and that doesn’t come easily to a Stilinski. What was she talking about? If anyone was going to let someone down it would be him. Catching the look on her face he could see the statement hadn’t been made in humour. “What do you mean? Don’t say things like that.” Stiles grimaced. He loathed the idea that she could think that she’d disappoint him.
