Tuli nodded and Smoke seemed to understand that these were not a weapon he could forge. Kahn looked at his son, flaming eyes steady. “It is amazing that humans are still around with the things they create.”
“You have been around a long time, father,” Sirus murmured, “It must have been interesting to see how humans grew and learned.”
“It will be the same for you, one day,” Kahn rumbled. “You will far outlive the bomb. You will see what replaces it, and perhaps the fall of the human world.”
