Dear future me,

(And future you if you can relate), Today, your results will be posted. At this very moment, you may be feeling free, happy, joyful. But you could also be feeling disappointment, frustration, regret. I just wanted to remind you that diploma or not, you still achieved the hardest thing in your life. You still completed all those French orals, the ones that made your stomach twist and your heart flutter. You still pulled those nights that you spent bent over an internal when you should've been sleeping. You still met all your deadlines for art, still wrote all those English essays, still completed that extended essay and those CAS hours. You still learned, learned so much about art and language and history and science. You learned a lot about culture and these experiences all helped you grow into this amazing, open-minded person who's working to change the world in any way possible. The results of these exams can only open some doors for you, they can never take away the travels that you've been on, or the friends that you've met. So darling, if you've failed, let yourself be sad for a minute, then put on some lipstick and smile. Smile because this experience was hard work, and you did it anyway.
