new monthly post for disability pride month (aka wrath month)! our situation largely has not changed. we are both in between jobs and rent has gone up in addition to still having many expenses we cannot afford. my wife's links and my pay links are available for folks to donate; we also have a shared patreon that covers our biggest utility bill, and a ko-fi for folks who prefer that. lastly, we have a registry of items that would improve our quality of life!! reblogs and donations help so so much and are crucial to our survival. please chip in if you can.

welp! we got a notice to vacate and two weeks to pay what we owe or we are homeless (on top of still having to come up with next months rent) thanks to everyone consistently not chipping in or reblogging or giving a fuck about us at all. i dont know how else to beg for people to stop watching us suffer and actually fucking help; we will literally DIE on the streets. we have only managed to avoid another stint of homelessness because of community, STOP ASSUMING SOMEONE ELSE WILL HELP AND DO SOMETHING.

hate, hate, hate the “mirror test” so much, all it is is some guy in a lab coat pokes you in the forehead and then they lead you into a room where there’s this window and some bitch on the other side of the mirror has a smudge on her face and when you point and laugh at her she points and laughs at you, but she’s the idiot with a smudge so why’s she laughing but if you yell at her she just yells back and everything keeps escalating until they drag you back out of the room, and then they ask you all these stupid questions like “did you notice anything about the person you saw” or whatever, like, yeah, i fucking hate, hate, hate her so, so, so much, i noticed that, why do they keep doing this, and then they scribble a bunch more shit in that file, it is literally the most pointless part of the week, and the worst part is they always force this conflict too, like, obvious lesson learned here, don’t interact, don’t speak, keep your head down, but if you just avoid looking through the window the test never ends and they keep waiting and watching and wanting to judge the results even though it is so, so, so tiresome and irritating every time, i don’t like her, i hate her, i don’t want to see her ever again

i think it’s a good idea to make a separate individual post that isn’t a bunch of paragraphs but yeah basically my situation is: ive lived under a slumlord for years, he filed to evict me and my disabled mom who I take care of after we tested for mold and every room tested positive, he was convinced by legal aid to drop the eviction and give us until the end of the month to leave and we both have apartments in different cities lined up but not nearly enough money to cover the costs of moving including: rent and down payments, rental trucks and gas. (Also just other costs of living at the same time). We’re moving on the 25th and on very limited time id really appreciate any help cashapp and venmo are @ ishaanjs &thank you to everyone who has helped me and given me advice or support these last couple months it means a lot

HELP SHIRA SURVIVE A TRANSMISOGYNIST ATTEMPTED MURDER

Shira is a Turkish trans woman who was the victim of attempted murder by a man on the street who realized she was transfemme. After he stabbed her, dozens of people walked by her on the sidewalk until a teenager stopped and helped her.

Shira is now in the hospital in critical condition. She’s undergone emergency surgery and will need multiple operations and long-term care to recover—physically and emotionally.

Shira has no close family nearby, is not accepted by public organizations in Turkey because she is trans, and she’s unable to work while she heals. Her friends are raising funds to cover her medical bills, therapy, and basic living expenses during this painful time.

As of me posting this, the fundraiser has €125 out of a €12k goal. If you can’t give anything to help a trans woman survive a horrific attack, please at least reblog this, set it on your queue, whatever you need to do to make sure others can see and help. Thank you.
