Shoving her hands inside her hoodie, she nods in agreement. It had been awhile since she gets the opportunity to go out on evening walk in peace, and she’s sure Irene had it worse than her. “Yeah, it’s really nice to go out in peace like these-- I used to be able to sit down on Han River for hours without getting recognized and after produce 101, and IOI; it’s been hard for me to do so.” she admits, turning to her slightly. “How’s life been treating you though, unnie?”

✱ —- ❝ YOU… TALKED TO MY MOM??? ❞ Her lips curled up into an amused grin at the older girl, chuckling to herself. “I’m not going to do anything stupid…” Actually, her idea she proposed earlier about traveling the night by herself for viewing and sight seeing was pretty dumb. It’s not like she was going to be doing illegal things, she really meant her words about sight seeing and viewing the skies. “I mean… Do you have a better idea???” The leader’s lips fall a little into a simpler smile, her chin finding home on the taller’s shoulder, looking up at her with curiosity. “Karaoke??? Food???”

There was a warmness inside of her. She was happy that the older had worried about her and made this ‘promise’, she truly enjoyed her company. “We haven’t hung out in ten years!!! We should definitely do something together– Forget what I said about night viewing.” Now, her arms were looped around Sooyoung’s, holding her and looking at her with eyes gleaming with happily and sparkles. “Unnniiieee~ what do you want to do~???”

“Who else would I have talked to?!” The older of the two idols giggled. “Do I look like someone who would be pretending to have talked to someone’s mom just to get a point across? Don’t answer that.” Her grin was sheepish, a faint attempt at hiding the relief she felt after successfully keeping Irene from setting off on her own. Even if they were just a bit over a year apart in age, the professional difference in experience was enough for Sooyoung to worry about Irene like the age gap was a lot more substantial. She considered Red Velvet her babies, felt a strong urge to protect them from all she had been through in the years she spent in the industry so far, and going out alone at night was not something she was liking, even if she trusted Irene enough to not get into too much trouble.

Soo hadn’t quite considered the option that diverting Joohyun would end up allowing the two to spend valuable bonding time together. She had originally planned to just lie on her couch with her pets and watch whatever she would come across on TV until passing out, but she couldn’t do that when the other seemed so keen on hanging out with her. She blinked a few times before smiling, shrugging her shoulders a bit. “I guess we can go eat chicken and drink... although I do think my children need a walk still. So we can go walk dogs? You can still kinda see the night sky that way, too!”

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?

The question made her smile, in fact, it made her giggle a little. "I actually had thought about this before." The leader was one who was fond of questioning things that were the unthinkable. As ridiculous as it sounded, she really found a fascination with her curiosity. "If I were to wake up tomorrow having gained one ability, even if it was for a short time, I would like to experience life through another individual's eyes," she pauses to let her rose tainted tiers lift into a wide grin. "Everyone sees life differently, be it extravagant or monotonous." Surely, she was far passed her time. At this age, she should be worrying about if she's happy with herself or if she's wanting to achieve higher. "I think... for my age, I have experienced life for what it is... I had most of my dreams achieved, all sorts of ups and downs...and I can pretty much say, I am satisfied. Granted, I do have some wishes I would like to fulfill as many others do... But, I can suffice for another time." There was more she'd love to explain, but that would mean spilling her private life. "I just wonder... Is the world as beautiful in another's eyes? Or is it cruel?"

"You're giving me a real workout." ( welcome to 63club!! sorry for the late welcomee ;; !)

“Aw, come on, unnie! We’ve gotta stay in shape! Just a bit more!” Her ragged breathing makes the words sound all chopped off, but she gets her point across hopefully and throws the other girl an encouraging glance (or what she hopes is encouraging, anyway, because she’s having a hard time looking enthusiastic when there’s sweat running down her face and all she wants to do is chug a gallon of water). Some squats and a set of jumping jacks later, she finally decides it’s enough and she sits down on the floor, chest rising up and down quickly. “You might hate me but this was worth it. Your choreos look harder than this was, anyways!” She lets out a long sigh and tries to catch her breath, not quite ready to stand up yet. When she speaks, her breathing is still uneven but she attempts to sound semi-serious, a smile playing at her lips. “Wanna go jogging tomorrow?”
