Our fight to defend this icon of wildlife has led us to face some lobbies who benefit from its death, and who use immoral and often illegal methods to kill it. Now, several members of our organization who tried to prevent the illegal killing of iberian wolves are being sued by the attorney general’s office, the regional government of Castille and Leon and by a private plaintiff, who claims a cease of profit and requests two and a half years of jail time. For this reason we are asked to pay a 50,000 euro bail , an amount we cannot face because our organization, to preserve its independence, does not receive any public funds. The funds gathered through this campaign will be destined to the payment of this bail, plus the expected fines and possible trial expenses. If the donation goal is surpassed, any excess funds would be used for our continuing work in defense of the wolf. A single wolf is powerful, but a wolf pack is invincible.
