I just received this awesome award from the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) publication, The Linking Ring, for the cover story I wrote about @houdiniwild. The Linking Ring Award of Excellence is given to a number of recipients each year, this particular one for 10 selected articles published between April 2020 and March 2021. Mine appeared in the October 2020 issue. Who's that?! Oh, just me... and the legendary Shawn Farquhar! At my very first International Brotherhood of Magicians jam session, I got to meet and hang out with the legend himself! Not to mention the stand-up magician (and stand up guy) Derek Hughes!

I joined the IBM this past weekend, and I can't tell you enough how wonderful it is! Standing up to perform in front of the president of the organization, world champions, and former president is an experience I'm certainly never gonna forget. I learned a lot that I certainly hope to bring to the stage sooner rather than later, so stay tuned!
