You can try to say that it's an IB thing that'll can be a reminder of what you been through other than the diploma and tried to see if that works. I can also help pay for yours! And you can pay back later.

Ah. I’m still trying to decide. Because $50 is so expensive T___T It’ll definitely put a huge dent in my wallet. urgh BUT I WANT A CARDIGAN IT LOOKS SO PRETTIFUL ♥ orz

Ask parents for allowance or babysitting money. Or collect spare change. You don't have to buy it but it's probably the only IB thing that's probably worthwhile to keep. Unless you want to keep all the IB assignments and all that... I suggest thinking about it some more before you do.
