“Merry Christmas, Cosmic.”
Charlie licks her cheek, blushing lightly, and smiles. “Hope this Christmas is a good one for ya.”

Though she isn't sure precisely yet how she feels about this display of affection, though in a certain sense it does feel nice to be so cared for. The holidays were often a grim reminder of the things she has lost in her past life, but here... Now, well... She just feels really special.
"Thank you, Charlie." She murmurs, taking a chance in snuggling close. "Merry Christmas to you, too."
“Hey, uh, Cosmic… I just wanted to tell ya… I think I have feelings for you. I mean- I haven’t known ya very long, I know, but…”
Charlie put his paw gently on hers. “…if you’re willin’ to give it a shot, then… maybe we can see where this goes?”
- Charlie being nervous and actually sincere lol

Cosmic tried to stifle the small gasp that slipped loose from her muzzle, taken aback by the gesture. She had initially been teasing about what she'd perceived as romantic advances, but hadn't actually expected anything serious. Faced with it now, she was unsure of herself.
She'd never had much of a romantic life, after all. She had been a pet, then a secluded stray. Her nightlife consisted of either lying next to a human or being coddled only by the moonlight above or a street lamp. This was something foreign entirely, no matter how she tried to play it cool. In a way, it spooked her. Yet, something about it was intriguing. Exciting. She couldn't tell if she felt the same way, but the notion was enthusing enough.
"I-" Instinctively, she pulled her paw away, only to immediately feel guilt for the action. Was that rude? Could it be seen as rejection?
"I- Yes! Okay... Sure." She replied, hint of embarrassment evident in her voice as her tail thumped against the ground.
