A new and very dear friend blessed me with an opportunity of a lifetime. A crimson cloud serpent egg to hatch, a crimson cloud serpent hatchling to welcome into our home.
Already he grows fast, and although he hatched a few weeks back now, I have just now finally decided on a name.
His name is Xuelei.
A name to represent the deep red of his scales

[ The following is a log of a scene between Jacob and Keiran, shortly after Jacob read Carolina’s letter that was sent from Marcus Gazer’s location. ]

Perhaps anyone else would have gotten out of the tub and attempt to look presentable. Not Jacob. He was too busy deep in thought while waiting for one of his men to go fetch Keiran. His bright blue eyes were unfocused as he kept clenching his jaw. On one hand, Jacob was trying to tell himself that Carolina and Slania were both formable women and that while they were in a situation, they were most likely still well and alive. But then again, after almost losing both women in the fires some time ago, it made him incredibly worried. In fact, staying in the tub was what was stopping Jacob from having an anxiety attack. Being in the water was soothing his anxiety enough to keep it from overflowing. Plus, the water was cool, which was a relief during a rather warm day. So, he remained in his round tub, sinking low enough for water to be just below his nose as he thought away. Rub a dub dub, indeed. [d]
It was a warm day indeed, and Keiran had been enjoying the weather outside his cabin with the hound. Their daily routine normally consisted of waking up for the sunrise; watching the morning fog roll across the hills reminded them both of home. They’d run back to the cabin for a quick bite to eat, a bath, a nap, maybe a stroll into town. Keiran made sure to feed Lugh every time that he ate. The pair had just sat down outside the cabin to feast on some lunch when Keiran’s attention moved down the pathway even before the Hound moved. After a sigh the man stood, smoothing out his tailored slacks. Obviously his style was very odd for the time period, but he’d eventually get around to that elephant later. “...Aye, it’s best to announce yourself ‘for wandering this far out into the forest..” His booming voice carried until he noticed a man from Jacob’s Guard. A brow arched slowly before he stepped forward to close off the distance between the two of them. Twenty minutes later Keiran and Lugh were walking through Jacob’s bedroom door. He remained silent as half-blind royal irises watched him, waiting for him to speak. (D)
Jacob heard footsteps approach and turned around in the tub. Water sloshed around as he did. And soon, he was looking at Keiran and the hound. He sheepishly lifted a hand in greeting.
"...Hello there." Jacob said, feeling slightly awkward. It wasn't because he was naked. Jacob didn't mind being naked around people. It was just the fact he suddenly remembered that he withheld a letter from the man because he accidentally opened it and then avoided him because Jacob deemed him too quiet not to be dangerous. One thing at a time, though!
“So, I called you here because there's been an urgent matter. So urgent, that I haven't had time to get out of this tub..." Jacob admitted, moving around the tub to reach for the letter Carolina sent him. "Carolina wrote to me from Snow Mystic. She and Slania are... in a bit of a bind. They were attacked. They're alright for now, but I think a man named Marcus Gazer has 'em."
He got the letter from the stool and handed it to him so he could read the details. "Carolina said to get you, and well ... I know we haven't been well acquainted." Jacob took a moment to narrow his eyes at him, to see if there was a murderous look in Keiran's eye or something. "But, she trusts you. So... that's why I called you here." [d]
Keiran listened quietly as Jacob explained the situation the ladies had wound up in. With a roll of his eyes a sigh escaped past his lips.
“...of course they are. I know enough about Snow Mystic to understand the bullshit..” He leaned over to grab the letter from Jacob as it was handed his way, and it only took a few short moments to skim over the words.
“...She wants me to fly us both there, you understand this right?” At this point it may be a wise idea to just call a whole ass meeting with everyone so that he could explain himself all at once. Whatever Jacob was looking for never came from Keiran. His demeanor was always calm, collected, c a l c u l a t e d.
The letter was rolled neatly and handed back off to Jac. “...When do you wish to leave Wexford for your Wife?” (D)
"...Fly? I thought she meant you'd just get us there quickly or... something. Can you... sprout wings or something?" Jacob said blankly, clearly not comprehending or knowing fully what Keiran truly was. Then again, Jacob, while grateful in the things Keiran did for his family, didn't get close or bother him like he did with Leviticus, or Finnegan. And that was the thing. Jacob could handle loud and boisterous people who flaunted their abilities or feats. Keiran being calculated and still made him unknown to Jacob, which perturbed him, even as he stood there in front of his tub. And apparently he could fly too? Eerie. Jacob beckoned Lugh over and when the large hound came by, Jacob gave him a good scratch behind the ear.
"I have to make arrangements first. I need to call Levi and Stef to take care of things here, including my children. Lugh can stay there too." Jacob said thoughtfully, "Otherwise, I'd just say let's go now. I don't give a fuck if I'm naked. I'll fight those fuckers in Snow Mystics in the nude with my cock out if I have to." Jacob couldn't help but smirk. See, that sounded like fun. "But... we should leave as soon as everything's set here. Maybe tomorrow night ..." Then, he cleared his throat, "If you're alright with that. I don't know your schedule." [d]
“...Yes I can fly, but I move so fast that if you blink we are already there “ His accent was definitely Celtic, but his voice was deep, oddly soothing. Keiran Riley had always puzzled people because they had seen him on the battlefield, where some would say a possession would occur. He was a cold and relentless killer; but only when he needed to be.
“...Look, there’s a lot that you, nor anyone else know about me. Stef only got to see a glimpse, and you wouldn’t believe her tale about meeting Leviticus’s Mother, Charlie. I am not a human being, though this body once was mine a very long time ago.” Did anything he tried to explain make sense? A smirk found his stoic features as Jacob went on about fighting in Snow naked. “...Aye, the Fearless Jarl Adair with his cock a blazin’. You would definitely be seen as mad. That could work to your advantage.” All jokes aside, he nodded. “We could leave tomorrow night, and you would be with your wife in the same moment. Carolina and Lani are two strong individuals by themselves, I’m sure they’ve managed to keep themselves as safe as they can be.” Now Keiran turned to move closer towards the door, but he didn’t leave just yet.
“...My schedule is open. I have no real job here, and when I’m not annoying my dumbass child, then I’m normally getting drunk. Helps stop all the screaming...” And he tapped the side of his head for good measure. (D)
As Keiran tried to explain himself a bit more, Jacob gripped the wooden wall of his tub as he leaned forward, narrowing his eyes and pursing his lips as he attempted to understand.
"...So, you were once a caterpillar, and now you're a butterfly, eh?" He wasn't mocking him (he would never), but spoke metaphorically. Plus, butterflies sprouted wings too. Then, he shrugged and extended his arms back to rest them upon the tub, leaning comfortably back once again.
"It would be fitting. The Sargenis have a reputation of being somewhat mad, and well, I wouldn't mind using that to my advantage." He would imagine that Carolina would practically fly into his arms if she saw him save her while slaughtering enemies butt naked. The imagined scenario caused him to smile to himself proudly, nodding at the thought. When Keiran spoke again, he cleared his throat a bit, and recomposed himself to look more serious.
"Ah, right! Tomorrow night, then. I'll have Stef and Levi here tomorrow then you can come here by sundown. Remember to bring Lugh too." As if on cue, Lugh automatically returned to Keiran's side when he began to move by the door. Keiran's revelation of his coping mechanisms made him smirk.
"Ah, so that's why you get along with Lani. She does the same thing." It all made sense! She was also the only woman who could outdrink him. And bringing up Slania made him remember again.
"Wait. I have something for you." And then Jacob turned around in his tub, and got up, exposing his entire back side. But, he did cover his groin with a clean linen from the stool as he got out of the tub. He went to his pants there on his bed and fished out a folded letter. He tossed it to Keiran for him to catch. "...That was for you. I... meant to give it to you earlier. Came with my letter from Carolina. I didn't mean open it, I thought it was for me -- I fucking swear. I apologize for the delay." Yep, he was being genuinely apologetic. [d]
A hand thoughtlessly found the top of Lugh’s fuzzy head, while Keiran turned his attention back towards Jacob.
“...A butterfly, yes..” His head would nod in agreement. “...It was actually something pretty close to that. Perhaps before anything else crazy happens I’ll be able to show the lot of you what I am. Honesty is a big thing for me, and if I am to continue my time in Wexford..” Well then they all needed to know. As Jacob explained about the madness in his family Keiran seemed to agree.
“My family has a reputation as well. Leviticus was actually fitting the mold perfectly before he found his way here. The Riley’s were known as a bunch of drunkards and lushes that used their looks to get ahead in life. My Eldest Brother, Connall, is the oldest of seven. I actually have a twin Sister, but she was banished a long time ago. Our Parents died leaving us to fend for ourselves..” He actually hadn’t thought of his blood family for a long time. Damn. “...Anyway, nothing was true that they said about us. So, whatever madness you think might exist may just be something brought on by undecided motives and thoughts. You’re a good Man, Jacob Adair.”
Damn, Keiran passing his judgment? When Lani was brought up, a smirk found his lips as he thought about his redhead companion. “...I hear the rumors floating around, about Lani and I. Humans are a funny bunch, the time spent with Lani is nothing more than two people hurting together. My Wife gave up on me as I went out to find our Son. I would have to tell you a very long story, but you already know He’s a little different. Anyway, I’ve been married for twenty or more years, only to come home to find my Wife married and pregnant. I would never disrespect Lani.”
Except when it came to drinking, Keiran had a Holy advantage. When Jacob fumbled around with the letter, His hand reached out to grab it lightly. As he read over the words a smile found him, and he looked down to the hound.
“See, I told you that she missed you. You’ve been pouting and shit..”
The letter was folded neatly and tucked into the back pocket of his slacks. Attention moved towards Jacob once again.
“...She’s going to think I’m a dick head. Were you scared to give this to me?” A brow quirked in question, but he had already known the answer. “...Don’t ever be of me, Jacob Adair. There are far worse people to walk this dirt..”
And honestly? Keiran was old. He was taking a break from killing and rapturous activities. A nod was offered as the rest of the plan was given. “Then I will see you guys in a few hours. I’d suggest warm clothes, Snow Mystic is still frozen where we are going..” Keiran respectively bowed towards Jacob before he and Lugh were gone. (D)
Brows went up as Keiran told him a bit more of his background. Six siblings? Now, that wasn't uncommon. But Jacob had one half sibling and that had been annoying at times when she was still around. He couldn't imagine dealing with six more.
Then, he blinked, looking confused at first. Then, a somewhat awkward, but genuine small smile appeared.
"Ah... thank you. I don't think I'm that great, but ... I do certainly try. You're not so bad yourself. You've done a lot for my family, and I thank you for that." He suspected Keiran didn't go around complimenting people on a regular, so Jacob felt like he accomplished something!
Once Keiran had the letter, Jacob returned to his tub and settled back in. He wasn't done with his bath just yet! He then frowned, his brows furrowing. "...Shit. That's awful.." If that happened to him, Jacob would completely lose his mind. He didn't know how Keiran was able to hold it together -- even outwardly. But then, he waved his hand casually.
"Ah, don't worry. Lani holds you in high regard and I've always trusted her judgement." He told him, and then, watching Keiran smile and Lugh wag his tail excitedly upon smelling Slania's scent on the letter made him feel incredibly guilty. He regretted not giving him that letter sooner.
Soon, Jacob began to laugh, somewhat nervously -- like a person who got caught. "I wasn't scared... I was just-- I didn't want to appear fuckin' rude or nosey." He tried to explain, "And listen, I'll tell her it's my fault. Last thing I want is for my cousin to be on the outs with a person she's close with because of me. She's been through enough troubles lately, and apparently, so have you... So don't worry! I'll let her know that I'm the dickhead."
It was settled! "Alright, see you tomorrow then! Rest up!" He called out after him. Once Keiran left, he let out a long sigh of relief. That went better that expected.
He was still in one piece! [d]
Aug 21st.
It’s the first time in years i’m actually writing. The last time I mad a log book was back in Dawnfury. Lifetimes ago actually; becoming a defender and then being thrown out the next day.
Maybe I am overthinking things - I joined the Kor’kron over several weeks of debating on where exactly to align myself with. I could have gone with Bladebane. Maybe I should have gone with them, but instead, I chose my Father’s old regiment.
I don’t know much about the time he was in there, but these people... this high commander.. it’s weird. Almost to the point where it’s foreign to me. I ended up choosing the path to answer questions honestly, but I left off my usual sass. Maybe I should have left more of it in there, but the questions were at least interesting.
Honor isn’t something I think of often; maybe my father did at one point, but not me. Honor, in itself is trust, but where does true honor, and loyalty come into play?
I might not know the answer- maybe i’ll never know it, but i have a feeling Jeoth already knows what i’ve done. That means Nelko knows and soon after Inarius. Maybe not Inarius, but that is besides the point.
Maybe Kal, Ka’dern’s new pet will be happy. He’s still here, his presence, his words; to not be alone is what he granted me, but the power is not as much as it once was. His consciousness is split between the both of us.. or so i’ve been lead to believe.
Felblade gets the power, I get the presence, and maybe I am moving on. I don’t require Ka’dern to be here. I don’t require his knowledge, but rather his presence... just to know he’s there.
Maybe Felblade -Kalerian Felblade- is right. Maybe it’s time for me to move on. To become... something more.
Still, the words I said today were meaningless to some, but to me they were a move in the right direction;
"I, Xeoth Felsworn, swear loyalty to the Horde and the Kor'kron Legion. I will protect and uphold all those who live under the Horde's banner, from Kalimdor to the Eastern Kingdoms, to Pandaria, and even to Outland. I will fight as their fist and die as their shield. I am Kor'kron Legion, and I will serve the Horde with honor, pride, and courage; this I vow. For the Horde! For the Kor'kron Legion! Lok'tar ogar!"
Serving the Horde is the right direction... no matter how hard I want to go back to fighting for myself.. this is a start. It’s a new day. It’s a time to move on. To move away from being Felsworn.
Today is a special day, for the Moon and Sun are one. May their great energy fuel you and give you strength so that you may run free through the forests with a sense of new purpose during this rare and beautiful occurrence.
There are always aspects of our life that we wish we could ignore or change... but at a certain point you must learn to accept it and make it better. You cannot change the past but you can progress your future.
