tommy runs full speed towards david, it looks like he’s going to run straight towards him. he does stop, inches from david. but what’s this? he holds something behind his back, some flowers. he leans in to kiss david, letting it last for a little bit, before finally pulling away. “heard you had a bad day, got these to cheer you up.”
David barely looks up even as he hears Tommy coming, boots rumbling against the ground like a revved up ‘hog---but he trusts his boyfriend with his whole heart, body & soul, and he’s busy. When he does look up---Tommy surprises him. With romance, with thoughtfulness, with the deep butter-melt, sweet syrupy goodness in his insides like on a warm plate of pancakes.
The kiss doesn’t last long---nothing ever does, with Tommy, but even as he pulls away, he lingers, he warms, he vibrates with energy & enthusiasm & what amounts to nothing but gentle, shy, gentlemanly love that he’d never actually call that----and David is left breathless by it, a sharp intake of breath that sounds a bit like a tiny, “Ah,” and then a breathy sigh outward through just-kissed, still-puckered, still-pursed lips, that sounds like David regarding him (&/or checking him out) with an impressed, satisfied, “Hm.”
“I did have a bad day. You just made it a lot better.” He puts down the papers in his hands, all but tosses the flowers over his shoulder, and wraps his full body around Tommy, two butter-wet hot pancakes, steamed together, touching every inch with condensation and deep full body pressure---and says, as fast as he can----”Thinkfast!---” Before he dips him as backwards as far and as fast as he can push him without breaking his knees, and kisses him long & deep & silly, the way he only can be with the Tommy he trusts this much.
