The foreigner- painstakingly obvious with the accent he doesn't bother hiding- lets his smirk grow some at the rebuttal, but he makes no objection. Not yet, at least.
Antonio nods as reply. "Most don't go out this hour 'nless they're s'posed to be. Or prepared for it." He raises his eyebrows to punctuate the latter statement.
London has, is, and- if he had to put money on it- always will be crawling with all kinds of monsters after dark. More than just the human kind. It's the exact reason he's here again anyways, and probably the same for many future visits.
Damn if he doesn't hate urban hauntings. Too many people around, too many faces to hide behind, too many eyes to evade. Antonio resists the urge to narrow his eyes at the 'doctor,' combing his form with only his vision for anything amiss. Can't risk tripping any wards with a magic probe, pissing off the wrong mage is a detour he does not need right now.
"Mind if I ask ya some questions? Not from here, as I'm sure you noticed by now, mh?"
Jonathan recognized the look from the man, that side-eye; that was the look of a patient who either didn't trust doctors, or who had suspicions of his supernatural nature.
Rain began to fall, the drops pattering gently against the glass windowpanes of London's dwellings.
"Not at all, Sir; so long as you don't mind a few questions in return, I'll see what I can do with regards to answering your inquiries. How about telling me your name? I am Dr. Jonathan Reid."
