Hey Ferb, I Know What We’re Gonna Do Today || @illicreatxm
Camp Half Blood typically didn’t let children of the Big 3 participate in capture the flag, since there was so few of them. Chiron really didn’t see the purpose of adding one or two team members when certain cabins have worked together for a really long time. However, Lailani practically got on her knees and begged Chiron to let Gabbie join the Athena cabin, just this once, much to the chagrin of her siblings. The long Athena-Poseidon rivalry reigned true, she supposed. But Chiron was all for it. Lailani was typically the cabin head when it came to this game, so she came up with the game plan.
“Apollo kids keep their flags too close to the creek, almost blurring the boundary line. So, we can get Gabbie to use her Poseidon given powers to flush the defense out,” Lailani posed, which caused her brother Jake to snort and Gabbie to let out a little squeak from the sudden responsibility and attention. “Something you want to say, Jacob?”
“How are you so sure this plan is going to work?” Jake’s gaze narrowed towards Lailani, who just scoffed, tossing her hair back.
“The Apollo cabin is predictable. Just stick to the plan, I know I’m right.” Lailani’s tone was stern, and she sent Gabbie a wink and a smile.
As per usual, Lailani was right. The Apollo defense team was huddled by their flag, almost too close to the river. Turning over her shoulder, she nodded towards Gabbie. Nervously shaking, Jake and Lailani watched Gabbie swirl her wrist in a circle, pulling the water out of the lake. This was all so eerily silent, something you wouldn’t expect from splashing water. Within moments, a water bubble hovered above the Apollo players, before she held her hands straight and the water fell straight on to them, those campers letting out frantic, confused screams.
“Yes!” Lailani beamed, jumping a little bit, proud her plan actually worked. They were completely blinded, which left the Athena cabin in the perfect position. However, her flirtatious brother couldn’t keep his eye’s off the caramel skinned, daughter of Poseidon. He watched her with the slightest of smiles, and letting out a few breathless ‘wows’. Rolling her eyes, Lailani smacked him in the back of the head. “Okay, loverboy, flirt later. Go grab that damned flag, Trent.”
