Instead of the usual lone child, two young monarchs showed up to training one day, one obviously nervous and the other seeming somewhat distracted. It had taken a bit of convincing for Chara to get Asriel to come along, but finally he'd budged, and initially the human was pretty excited about it... yet now they were having trouble focusing, even though Asriel needed their support. Great. They tried to perk up when they caught sight of their guardian, at least.
“I brought him, Xanos!” they called, gesturing to the goat brother beside them who quietly greeted, “Um, hello...” Chara pat him on the back a bit as they said, “Ri’s a bit rusty on the magic, so go easy on him, but I practiced with him a bit... last night.” Thus bringing back their distraction, but they only looked away for a moment before adding, “...while he’s got some fire powers like mom and dad, he’s got a bit more to work with. I think he’ll do well if you’re teaching him!”
