There's a brief moment, where Shiro looks shocked. A rare expression to come across the swordsman's face. Sure, him and Aijiro trusted eachother, that much had been established. But with his life? Really?
Even though he had been the one to take his first one away, and damn him to this second life?
"That's kind of an important thing, you know?" He jokes, a grin coming across his face as he puts a hand on Aijiro's shoulder. "So, if Seiroku is going to give the last of his life to you, and you trust me with yours, does that mean I get both of your lives?" It's unsure if its a serious question, or if its just something to lighten the mood.
He brings his hand up to Aijiro's cheek and leans forward. For a moment, it almost seems like he's leaning in for a kiss, but instead he just puts their foreheads together. He doesn't know if he can say the same thing back to Aijiro, its not in his nature. But he does have something he could say, at least. "I'll take good care of it. Your life is safe with me."

"Hm?" He blinked and looked over at Aijiro. It was rare for him to ask for something like that. Normally Shiro was the one who was all touchy feely. Which meant, Shiro wouldn't let this opportunity pass him by.
"Sure thing." Shiro grins, tapping at his shoulder. "Rest up, or you can lay in my lap if you want." He offered before tapping his chin. Actually, he had a better idea! Without giving Aijiro much of a warning, he reached over to pick up the man and place him in his lap, holding onto him with a smile. "There you go! This is probably more comfortable, right?" Shiro guided Aijiro's head to lean against his shoulder.
"I'll make sure no one messes with you for awhile." He hummed softly, holding onto Aijiro loosely, so he could move around and get comfortable if he wanted.

This kid was asking some strange questions, but at least this one was easy. "You know, I only used to fight for myself, way back when." he hummed, rubbing at the side of his neck as he glanced towards the clear blue sky.It had only been a year or two, but it felt like a lifetime ago. "My world was so small back then, huh..." Neku reminisced for a moment before looking back towards the kid.
"But now, it's not like that. You can fight for yourself, sure. But to me, you should also fight for your world, and the people within it. Because your world, your life, is nothing without other people. When people notice you, you become real, you know?" God he sounded like Hanekoma. But then again, the man had been a big influence on his life, and afterlife, in more ways than one.
"But why's a kid like you asking such deep questions, huh? Something on your mind?"
