Closed: "They sailed away, for a year and a day."
It had been almost a fortnight since Melody had agreed to accompany Jack for the next year, in return for her legs. Really, it hadn't been anywhere near as bad as she had expected. Of course, two weeks were hardly the same as a year, but she was actually quite enjoying her time so far. Maybe sailing was her thing (although it was more likely that she just enjoyed the company).Â
Saying that, however, she spotted a dark shape on the horizon and she was instantly tinged with fear. It was too far away to tell whether it was a ship, or an island, or some kind of huge creature - but her instincts told her it was not a good sign. "Jack?" she called, "There's something coming."Â
