My understanding is that it was triggered by Cassie's death. As that was the end of her life in that timeline, the next thing that happens to her (and the watch) chronologically is that episode 1 Cole comes to her corpse to get it, so it has to be blank for that.

I'm not the watch anon, but I think the scratch on the watch disappeared so that when Cole comes to get it in the future, it will be whole, like we saw in episode 1. In other words, it changed in order for the timeline to stay the same, if that makes sense.

But also why did it change from nothing? What caused it to change (did I miss something)?

ikr, way to exclude two thirds of your fanbase. even if they release for pc at a later date, i’m still not buying, they lost me.

i just dont fucking understand, especially since that tomb raider definitive sold way more copies on the ps4 then the xbox one. i know that microsoft paid them a pretty penny for it to be on xbone, but idk what they were thinking. making a game an exclusive is just a shitty marketing technique. the tomb raider reboot was the only game i have EVER preordered bc i was so excited for it and wanted to support it. now, they want me to buy a 400 dollar gaming system to play the sequel. im not a console gamer, and i wouldnt spend that kind of money to play one game even if i did. fuck thisssss

i figured this is what they'll probably do, if they dont retract their statement for it being an exclusive bc everyone is calling out bullshit, but it'd be super nice if i could play the sequel to a game i enjoy when it gets released. BUT I GUESS I CANT HAVE NICE THINGS
