She didn’t have a dog and that probably wouldn’t be changing anytime soon, but she liked seeing other people’s pets. After spending a little while in the park, she was just about to head back home when she caught sight of a German Shepherd heading in her general direction. “Oh, my gods. Is this you’re dog? After a long day of exploring the island and looking for jobs, Maristela returned to Chloe’s apartment (the idea of calling it home still felt weird to her) and changed into yoga pants and a well-worn, oversized T-shirt she’d borrowed from Chloe, fairly excited about the prospect of having a cozy night in for the first time since moving to Icaria. Not two minutes she’d settled in on the futon she heard a knock on the door. She felt a little weird about answering the door considering how new this arrangement was - chances were pretty slim that whoever was knocking was there for her, after all - but she got up anyway and made her way to the door, figuring the least she could do was sign for a package, take a message, or whatever the person on the other side of the door wanted her to do. “Hi!” Maristela greeted as she pulled open the door “Chloe’s not home right now, but I can take a message if you you want?”

Maristela glanced around as she made her way to the bar, taking in her surroundings in interest. It wasn’t like she’d never been to a sports bar, but she’d certainly never been to a sports bar in Greece, nor anywhere else where she could legally order a drink at nineteen years of age. Okay, stay calm. Don’t act like you’re doing anything wrong because you’re not, she reminded herself as she sat down at the bar, looking around for some kind of menu and then looking up with a start when she noticed the bartender. “Um, hi! Could I get a... beer?”
