HIHIHIHI i just finished elegy to anemesis (i can't spell, sorry) and it was sO GOOD i love my tragic t4t orphydice!! and i just wanted to say that having orpheus be the son of rich people was an incredible decision! i've never thought of it before but it adds so much depth to his character yayayay

Honestly Orpheus as the son of rich people is basically just canon. Like he’s the son of a muse and the king of Thrace, my man is a prince turned minstrel, class traitor my beloved. Like I know I say I write hadestown fic but I do my best to involve the actual Greek myths as well- like Daphne in elegy being the nymph Daphne or ampelos in we sing it again being the personification of the grapevine. I just don’t tag since I don’t think they’re prevalent enough to make sense for the Ancient Greece myths fandom (paraphrased) which technically is a tag on ao3.
