“Changkyun…” The sound of his name caught his attention, pulling him away from the book he’d been reading for a couple hours now. He carefully closed the book as he watched you walk further into the room, frowning almost immediately when he picked up on your nervous behavior.
“Y/N, is everything okay?” He carefully asked, gently taking your hand in his as you sat next to him on your sofa. You didn’t speak at first, watching the way his fingers looked laced with yours. When you didn’t speak, Changkyun frowned even more and squeezed your hand once. “Talk to me, please? I can tell something is wrong.”
“I just feel a little…insecure I guess.” You started, crossing your legs underneath you as you faced Changkyun, avoiding his eyes entirely. “I don’t know, I guess I’ve just been stuck in my head for a while. I got myself thinking about if you regret anything about what we have?” Your voice was small, vulnerable, and it broke Changkyun’s heart to hear it sound like that. Gently, Changkyun turned you toward him completely and lifted your face so you looked at him, his eyes locking on your own and searching for a couple minutes before a smile slowly formed on his face.
“My only regret is not telling you I loved you sooner.” His voice is soft as he speaks, his thumb brushing over your cheek gently and brushing over the blush forming there. “That’s the only regret I have about you. Nothing else. I completely and wholly love you, Y/N. Please, don’t doubt that.”
You only nodded at him, feeling assured even more as his arms pulled you into his lap and his book was forgotten as he held you close and spent every other minute telling you how amazing you really are, and just how much he loved every aspect of your being.
