Writing (/ general thought organization) isn’t my strong suit so please forgive me.
But I’ve seen a lot of hate and negativity towards Ice Flight and the dom team. Part of this is the general problem of people being more vocal about grievances than satisfaction/appreciations. Like how you’re so much more motivated to leave a scathing review for side table that fell apart or had missing pieces than you are for one that is ultimately unremarkable. It sits there and does its job even though there was a bunch of areas where the manufacturer could have fucked up.
And I guess that same thing applies to dom leadership. There’s so much work that goes on behind the scenes. I honestly never realized how much went into it until a person I (now) live with became a dom leader. There’s so much effort and time put into planning and organizing. Setting up different programs and activities. Like our orphanage and ice pops. Even when there isn’t a huge push approaching. And they don’t get enough gratitude.
So please, just...remind them how much you appreciate them. We’re halfway through a big push, and we’ve been struggling a bit. It’s not stopping us from going at it with all the energy we can muster, but energy isn’t limitless. They could use some extra encouragement.
So, please, join me in doing a bit of cheerleading. Reblog and add a bit and whatnot.
Thank you Ice Dom for all you’re doing. We can still do this!
