“ weiss has a friend? ”
Winter had admittedly not kept in touch with her sister after the younger girl left Atlas. Not that she was disappointed in Weiss for ‘neglecting her duties as heiress’ - quite the opposite actually - she’d just been too busy to check in. That, and she was fully aware that Weiss’ feelings towards her weren’t exactly the fondest. She’d grown up in Winter’s shadow, and Winter knew that. Whatever Weiss did, her sister had already done. She could never seem to impress her father or make him proud unless she did better than Winter at something, which seemed practically impossible. Well, aside from singing.
That being said, now that Weiss was finally out from their father’s influence (though not separated from his money) Winter wanted to try and reconnect with Weiss, help her become independent from Jacques Schnee. All hope for Whitley appeared to be lost, but Weiss was still the SDC heiress and with the right support she could turn the company around after she took over.
It hadn’t taken her long to find out that Weiss was apart of a hockey team on the space station. The information had been surprising, but she was actually a little happy her sister had taken up a hobby their father would absolutely disapprove of. Winter had gone to Weiss’ apartment to have a talk with the girl, but when she knocked no one answered. A neighbor passing by informed her that Weiss was probably practicing at the rink, so that’s where Winter headed.
The rink certainly wasn’t up to Winter’s (high) standards, but that was something she could focus on later. For now, she stood outside the rink watching to spot Weiss out on the ice. There were plenty of people skating around, but everyone had their hair concealed so she couldn’t look for the tell-tale Schnee hair. From the back, she probably looked like her sister to anyone standing a bit away; long white coat, tall boots, pale hair pulled up into a perfect bun.
