Also, my boyfriend makes bracers for I think about $45 and they’re fantastic quality.

Breaking in the flesh eh? I have cut, bruised, scraped, and skin my arm so many times. Tip: Don’t hold your arm so it’s totally straight. Cock the elbow out juuuuust a tad, that’ll help a lot.

Yeah, I've kinda realized that.

I tend to lock my elbow on my bow arm when I'm starting to get tired, and thats what causes the string to hit it. Because normally   try to keep my arm relaxed.
