Top of the mornin' to ya
3/5/2015.
With the strong cold front leaving the east coast, the United States is under a pretty large high pressure system with not much going on... besides very cold temps and ice on the ground ;)
So today I have decided to do something different and attempt a forecast for Ireland!
As you can see, the cold front is moving off of the east coast and heads into the Atlantic. This system will eventually reach Ireland in a few days.
The Low pressure system that will bring the most rain is this one that moves in Monday afternoon. Ireland is currently experiencing some light rain, which could affect rainfall totals.
With temps above freezing, Ireland will see mostly rain with this system. If the wind were coming from the north, there would be a greater chance for snow; instead they are from the west, aka right off of the ocean.
The amount of rain that will fall from now until Monday night, totals about 1 inch. Some spots in UK receive up to 2 inches precip.
I hope everyone enjoyed their ice day today in Starkville!
