2015 book meme!: 5, 9, 24, 45? Happy holidays :)
Thank you so much babe!! <33
5. the most interesting villain?
I read The Great Gatsby this year and I know Tom isn’t /technically/ a villain, but I really liked him, possibly because my English teacher kept making me laugh when talking about him and how he keeps picking people up and placing them where he wants them to be
9. a book you learned from?
Um?? From Captain Corelli, I think I learned more how to write different chapters and the different techniques you can use
Oh god, so many!! I re-read My Family and Other Animals, which is possibly one of my favourite books ever, and makes me want to go live on a Greek island and look for wildlife, please go read it if you can, it’s absolutely hilarious and all true!
25. a book you’re dying to talk about, and why?
I didn’t really read many books that had that big an effect on me this year, I think because I discovered The Goldfinch last year and nothing will top it! Actually lots of books disappointed me this year, but I think one that stood out would be The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, which really wouldn’t be my normal choice of book because it’s a YA book about vampires, but it’s so incredibly good, and funny, with an amazing plot twist, along with a trans girl who is really cool?? And her story doesn’t revolve around her ‘struggles’ or anything, it’s her fancying a boy?? It’s really good, please go read it, especially if you’re into vampires and possibly gay female main characters
