Reading through the journal, you find yourself referenced multiple times. The first entry is towards the front of the book, obviously from many months ago:
So, I’ve been here for about two weeks, and I’m still meeting new characters. There’s this one girl named Ice, some sort of peppermint theme racer. I learned that she actually was added in no more than a week before me, so I guess we’re in the same boat. I actually haven’t really talked to her much aside from a simple “hello.” Maybe I should go talk to her some more, she seems nice.
You read further through the book. Nearing the middle, you find a more recent entry, about your first race against him:
Remember that racer named Ice I mentioned a while back? I ran into her at the track today. She offered to race me for practice, one on one. I ended up winning, so that was pretty cool. It was a nice little race, and I think I might have leaned a thing or two from it. Maybe we should race again some time.
Reading through a few more pages, you find another entry written about a month or two later:
I ran into Ice again after what feels like ages! I was out in the Candy Cane forest earlier at around the same time Ice was and we ended up running into each other. We ended up just sittng around for a few hours, just talking about stuff going on. Like what was happening to some of the other racers. They haven't been around much recently, I wonder where some of them went...
Anyways, back on topic. After a while of talking to each other, Ice gave me this cute little pet! I think she calls them "frostlings". She said they were supposed to be her fans r something like that. It's kind of hard to understand it, but I think it likes me!
Ice was feeling a lttle down about her racing skills, so I convinced her to race me later. We'll be doing it on monday. She says she doesn't race since she doesn't fit in well with the other racers. I hope I can convince her otherwise, I think she's actually a great racer.
Also, one last note...maybe I'm judging too quickly but honestly, I wonder. Does Ice like me? Like, like like me? I mean she acts a little like she does, but I'm not fully sure. I mean, she's pretty, but? I don't know what I should do. I guess I kind of like her too, but, should I say anything about it?
I think I'm going to need to think about this some more. Maybe I should wait before I say anything too suddenly.
At the last entry of the book, you find an entry on today's race. He hasn't written the race results from earlier today yet, so this entry is shorter compared to the others.
Okay, today's the big race! I'm off to go race with Ice, we'll be racing on the main track, so I might be a while. I hope this will be fun! I'll write the results when I get back.
