the thing is that i really don’t get why the ... winning entry went with this aesthetic. And the “baka” in the chorus. I just. Don’t. Get. it. I would probably have enjoyed the song more if it wasn’t for that. There was no reason for the fake kimono, no reason for the lucky cats, and idk with a song about how “i’m not your toy” then maybe don’t toy with another culture y’know.
And I really hate pointing it out but it really bothers me and i would have let it die if it didn’t win.
It. really didn’t need to have this aesthetic. The song was catchy, the singer energic, they could have done something great without taking this imagery and “toying” with it if i can say so.
So ye i’m lowkey salty about the winning entry this year.
