Around Nittai-Ji and Ichijo-In in Nagoya :)
Nagoya has a lot of nice places to explore and the cemetery around Ichijo-in is certainly very interesting and even has a Kofun gravemound :o While walking around it one of my friends discovered that another friends family crest was on the grave of one of the local lords retainers graves :D To this day I’m not sure if she knew this (^-^;) <=she can be quite mysterious at times.
As we walked by Nittai-Ji a friend told me that during the war people took these statues out of the burning temples and put them up there as well as possible and that’s where they have stood ever since. Knowing why they are there made me appreciate them and the place they were standing in in a completely new way :) It also explains the, for a lack of a better term, haphazard way they are arranged but this makes them into a wonderful time capsule that most people just passing by them won't be able to fully appreciate :)
Seeing the bamboo from below while passing by Nittai-Ji evokes images of being outside the city in a bamboo grove while still being in Nagoya which is quite nice and relaxing (*^-^*)
There is also a nice area with many nice old houses and cafés in the area around Nittai-Ji :)
This is a very nice place to explore and enjoy some ice cream or tea (^-^)
Today I had a job interview and it went very well :) I got a great feedback but the downside is that the company offered me much less money than I got at my previous company :| If I started working for them I’d earn as much as I used to earn before I studied while I’d have to work more hours :| This doesn’t seem like a good deal to me as an engineer who brings quite some experience and skill to the table :|
I made a new Chashaku (tea spoon for the tea ceremony (^-^) and it got a lot of praise from a few Japanese I know (o^-^o) It is the first Chashaku I made from bamboo :) Now I’m thinking about making more and trying to sell them :) Still getting the raw material for them is difficult in Germany :| I had exactly enough left to make one (^-^;) I have some more ideas to make other shapes too but I should probably wait before I’m wiring more about it here and publish an article about the one I made first :D
I wish everyone a great time with sweet dreams and the feeling of being inspired (^-^)/
