♡ — THE DOOR TO HIS APARTMENT WAS SLIGHTLY AJAR AND IT SET HIS HAIR ON END. immediately the horrendously long day was forgotten. in an INSTANT trent was on the defensive. ( breathing more shallow, his hand moving like clockwork to unsnap the holster on his side, footsteps light ) the element of surprise was in his favor and he intended to keep it that way; if he could get the upper-hand on the intruder then the battle was halfway won.
he toed open the door just enough for him to slip in and dodged the creaky floorboard by kitchen entrance. his heart slammed in his chest so loud he could barely hear the soft rustling from the bedroom. quietly but deliberately he stepped toward the room; his fingers were now curled against the cool handle of his pistol. his tongue shot out to wet his dry lips as his hand reached for the doorknob -- only for it to begin turning! in a second the door opened and trent found himself face to face with maryse, a PANIC seizing his chest and settling in mere milliseconds. his brain able to assess that there was indeed no threat.
" christ, " he hissed out, pulling out the last two letters. his fingers released their grip at his holster and he set her with a stern face. " how did you get in here then...? "

HIS BODY ACHED AND HIS MIND WAS SCREAMING, BUT ALEISTER WAS ON A HIGH. though his loss the night previous still burrowed in his mind, tonight’s events at the rumble left him feeling a little lighter. the world had witnessed him like never before. success was everything he had worked so hard for, though he never allowed it to get to his head; tonight was an incredibly special night. returning backstage, his eyes landed upon his raven haired beauty waiting for him and he couldn’t help the smile that spread across his face. his smiles were rare, and mostly reserved just for her.
taking long strides to get to her, careful of his still hurting knee, aleister took paige into his arms and embracing her. he said nothing at first, he just held her. it was even more rare that he showed rather public displays of affection, but he believed this moment warranted it. pulling away slightly, his hands moved to cup her face. “ hmm, not a bad showing, yeah? ”
