(note: I just finished Season 2, my answers could change after I finish the series)

1. bake cupcakes for: Ainsley Hayes because I know she'd appreciate them, also Nancy McNalley because she is one of my favorite character archetypes2. trust with the keys to my car: uhhh they're all pretty reliable I guess Toby3. put thumbtacks on the chair of: that one congressman that made the noise started the investigation about the drugs4. have a crush on: CJ, also Charlie, also Eleanor Bartlet5. pack up and leave if they moved next door: Lionel Tribbey not because I particularly dislike him but because it seems like he would be a stressful person to have as a neighbor6. vote for President: Joey Lucas7. pick as my partner in a buddy movie: Donna!!!8. pair up [with each other, romantically, I’m guessing?]: ack I don't think I can ship any of the ships that aren't already shipped... Bonnie/Ginger? Now I kind of want fic of that.9. vote off the island and into the volcano: Hoyyyyyynes -_-10. wheedle into fixing my MP3 player: The IT guys that had to fix things when Margaret sent the email about the bran muffins, I guess.

That’s really pretty eyeshadow. I bought some sparkly teal stuff but it didn’t come with a brush, and I’m unwilling to shell out $6 for one. So I will live vicariously through your eyeshadow, kay?

That sounds so pretty! Sparkly anything is awesome. And I completely get the not wanting to shell out the money for brushes- my parents got mine for me as a present otherwise I would be using watercolor brushes. But okay! :D (And thank you <3)

It's fine, it's a common misconception, especially since it's fairly rare for cysts bursting to cause that many problems. But I think a lot of the people who actually do their research about PCOS (like me?) live with the possibility of /this/ cyst bursting being the one to cause serious complications (infertility, damage to internal organs, infection, possible death) as opposed to just being anything from barely a pinch to agonizingly painful.

I did some bare-bones research on adenomyiosis and PCOS for that post- clearly I need to do more so I can clear up these misconceptions for other people too. This is some serious stuff and the fact that plenty of people don't realize exactly how serious PCOS is speaks volumes about our lack of knowledge. I can't even imagine how stressful it must be wondering if that'll be the cyst that causes complications. I'm so sorry you have to go through that :[

(My youngest sister had a cyst burst a couple of summers ago and it put her through hell. Now I understand why my parents were so worried when they found out what was going on- i just thought they were worried 'cause it was their kid, you know?)

Um. PCOS can be fatal. Ovarian cysts can rupture, and especially if they're infected, it can be fatal. My mother could have died if she didn't have an emergency oophrectomy and salpingectomy (ovary and fallopian tube removal, respectively) just before an infected cyst burst.

As soon as I'm back at my computer I'll go back and fix my error- thank you so much!

(I'm really glad to hear your mother got the procedures she needed before the cyst burst and I hope she hasn't had any further problems)

Patricia C. Wrede has a series of four books (Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons, Talking to Dragons) that basically make fun of how princesses and dragons are portrayed in fairy tales, and have a fairly wide cast of dragons, especially in the first couple of books.

I think I might have read the first of that series. I didn't know it continued! I'll have to go read them, thanks!

ickyharry replied to your post: PCOS diets are usually just to help people lose weight, since gaining is one of the side effects. Though there are some that are supposed to help with insulin resistance (another side effect). I haven’t seen any that aren’t the “cure your PCOS in a month by following this simple diet” though. =(

I meant it facetiously, they CLAIM to cure PCOS, but it really, really doesn’t work like that. Hence the sadface

Oh, wow. I'm sorry I didn't pick up on that! D: (Although I really do wish everything had a cure-all-diet that actually worked for everyone suffering from it and wasn't a scam. Oh! And that nobody tried to monopolize)
