Art and Empathy
While reading the blog posts and looking at the video presented, I feel like it is very clear that Satan has definitely made his way into every part of our lives. He is bringing the division between the Christians about whether it is good or not to have religious images. There are honestly two different ways that his can go even though there really should not be a debate about it. Lets say that there was destruction of all religious images, then people would complain about not knowing what Jesus and the disciples along with Mary and many more looked like. We would not be able to visualize a God figure but would either have to wait till we got to heaven or have individual interpretations of what we felt like was right. On the other hand, if we were to increase the creation of religious images, they would not all be the same image since everyone visualizes Jesus and God differently. There would be division there when we talk about what image specifically describes Jesus, the disciples, Mary and many more the best. Since either way there would be an argument, I really believe that it is up to the person and their opinion on it. I would not be able to choose a side in this because I do not believe that there needs to be a side chosen. At the end of the day only the people who go to heaven see really what Jesus looked liked and we will not need religious images up there because they will be all around us in the spirit.
