How To Eat Your Way Through The City

Whenever I have visitors in town, my strategy for creating an itinerary goes something like this:

1.)  Make a list of all the things we need to eat. 2.)  Order food to allow for maximum consumption. 3.)  Pick a few activities to help us work up an appetite between meals.

Or I just refer to Sidewalks of NY, which takes the pressure out of planning a spectacular (and tasty) trip to the Big Apple with a genius idea—food tours. Walks have a variety of themes, from Lower East Side eats to food trucks and carts. During a walk through the West Village, participants not only catch a glimpse of the "Friends" apartment but also sample Artichoke's mouthwatering, artery-clogging pizza, Mamoun's perfectly textured falafel and Hudson Bagel's signature item. These deliciously entertaining tours make playing host so seamless, you might even acquiesce when your guest requests to stop by Times Square.
