Oh Captain My Captain [Closed] {@icouldbethat}
Shock hadn't really been the word for it. Feeling the sudden extra set of beats in his chest and the rush on memories behind his eyes, the knowing of all things and all of space and time hitting him like a plane crash had all been a bit more than he'd been prepared for. Staring back at his watch, he'd wondered how he could have kept this from him self and the Doctor, and how it was that Rose hadn't told him when she'd seen 'everything'. Time Lord, not Time agent.
Two years now, he'd been settling into his body. Two year TARDIS Time. Once he'd discovered who and what he was, he'd tracked down the TARDIS he'd escaped in, spending a year adrift in space rebuilding him completely. His lovely TARDIS. He'd grown very fond of him over the last two years. How it was that a Time Lord was always drown to trouble, the man formerly known as Jack Harkness would never understand. Yet here he was, tracing a lost Gelph, out of time.
The sound of something down an ally got his attention, his eyes shifting to glance down it. The dead body he'd been looking for seemed to be walking perfectly upright, reaching for a figure backed against a wall. A human. Just a regular human being. He kicked himself into action, shining the bean of his Sonic flashlight straight at the captured flesh. It whined and shifted enough that he could get it by the shoulder, bulling the corpse back and out of the way.
"Sorry!" He shouted, kicking it's knees out from under it and turning back to the young man it had cornered. "Hello!" He beamed as he took his hand. "I hate to do this to you, but RUN!" He pulled him along with him, back out toward the street.
